Application Process and Checklist
TestingOnce your completed application is received, Clapham School will contact you to schedule your child's testing. Students applying to Explorers I & II will be observed / tested in groups in order to assess readiness for school. Students applying for Classes One and above will be tested individually. We want your child to thrive at Clapham School! All placements will be based upon age, testing, and other factors. It is our goal, through observation and testing, to work with you to best determine the appropriate entry point for your child so that we best ensure his or her long term success. Parent InterviewOnce the testing is complete, a parent interview will be scheduled during which parents will meet with members of the Admissions Committee. In advance of the Parent Interview, parents should have read the Parent Handbook, which includes Clapham's Mission Statement,Statement of Faith, and Vision, as well as reviewed the Parental Covenant which they signed on Clapham's Application for Admission. The interview will provide parents with an opportunity to express alignment and/or concerns with these items and to ask any questions. Parents will also receive feedback on the student testing and discuss answers provided on the Application for Admission. Non-Discrimination PolicyClapham School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally made available to students at the school. Clapham School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in the administration of its educational and admissions policies, scholarship programs or other school programs. |
